YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR FOLLOWING THIS GUIDANCE

We have seen many successful candidates earn their professional certifications. We have also seen some who either don’t take the time to review this guidance or choose to ignore it. There is a lot of information and it is here to help you enjoy a seamless exam experience. Failure to follow the guidance here could result in forfeiture of your exam registration. We are not responsible for errors or other candidate actions that result in a poor exam experience. If you know the exam material and you follow the guidance here, you’ll do great!

Make Sure Your Computer, Mic, Camera, and Internet are Good!

  • You MUST have strong internet and pass a systems check PRIOR to testing.

  • The system you use also needs a camera, microphone, and speakers.

  • System check on the same computer and the same internet you are planning for the exam.

  • Check your system here - https://examroom.ai/systemtest/

  • Do your system check at least 4 business days in advance (at the latest).

  • Once exam day arrives, it is too late to identify system issues and reschedule. If your exam cannot begin or is interrupted and must stop due to system non-compliance, you will have forfeited your exam opportunity. No refunds nor rescheduling can be offered at that point. Costs of hosting the exam have been incurred.

  • DO THE SYSTEM CHECK WELL IN ADVANCE!

Candidate ID

  • Find it on the email we sent you that led you to this webpage

    • Subject: Scheduling Your Exam

    • This image shows a portion of the email

  • Keep your Candidate ID handy for your exam login (it is also your password)

  • Do not use the Candidate ID shown here. This is just an example!

Open Prov Exam Scheduler

  • Click Link my profile to Exam Programs here or on the image and the scheduler will open

  • Leave this page open so you can follow our guide

  • There are many steps and not all Prov screens apply to PAHCOM candidates

  • We want to make the process as easy as possible for you

Verify Your Email

  • Prov will send an email to the address you used to apply for the exam

  • You must verify by using the 6-digit code from that email

  • It may take a minute to show up in your inbox (or check junk/spam)

  • If you need to search for it, here is some information that’ll help

    • Subject: Your verification code

    • From: Prov Email Verification <noreply@provexam.com>

    • Your service settings might also tag it as “External” like mine is in this image

Confirm Your Exam

  • Make sure the appropriate exam is listed for you (HITCM-PP, CMM, CHCOM, etc.)

  • Select “Find suitable time and venue”

  • Nothing else on that screen applies to PAHCOM

Ignore the map part

  • PAHCOM Exams are Online unless you choose to pay for an in-person exam

  • Make sure the Delivery Method says “Computer”

  • On the location list click “SCHEDULE” red text under AI-Examroom Online/Remote Proctoring

    • Depending on your screen size you may see location listed below or beside the map

Follow our notes closely here!

  • This window can be confusing

  • Your exam is already paid for (ignore the payment warning)

  • The Change Site button

    • If it says “AI-Examroom” above it, perfect!

    • If it says anything else, click the button and select AI-Examroom

Choosing a date

  • You must schedule a minimum of three days in advance

    • Do NOT choose today, tomorrow, or the next day

  • Use the arrows to view choices month-to-month

  • When you’re sure what date you want, click to expand the times

Choosing a time

  • Select the +41 more (or whatever number is displayed) to pull up the list of available start times

  • Select the start time you want

    • Remember that noon is 12pm and 12am is midnight

    • All times are listed in EASTERN TIME (you will need to make the calculation if you are in another timezone)

    • Plan a 4-hour widow you will be available (3 hour exam plus setup time, just in case it takes longer than expected)

    • Plan to show up 15 - 30 minutes prior to your start time

Double check everything!

  • Ignore the payment warning (your exam is already paid)

  • Is everything else accurate?

    • Yes

      • Click “ADD TO CART”

    • No

      • CLICK “BACK” and start over

Last chance to triple check

  • If you double checked everything before, this should all be correct

  • Exam type (HITCM-PP, CMM, CHCOM)

  • $0.00

  • Exam date

  • Exam time

  • We recommend reminders but it’s completely up to you

    • If you miss your exam, there is a fee to reschedule

    • If you need to reschedule, you must do so a minimum of three business days in advance

    • There are no refunds

  • When you are certain everything is correct, select the SUBMIT button

Your exam is scheduled

  • Put the date/time in your calendar (converted to eastern)

  • Click GO-TO-HOME and/or close the browser window

But wait… There’s MORE!

Check your email

  • Subject PROV TEST CONFIRMATION – Candidate ID# automatically sent after scheduling exam date

  • From: Prov Exam Services <noreply@provexam.com>

  • Once more, make sure everything is accurate

IMPORTANT RULES

  • Within the same PROV TEST CONFIRMATION email

  • Review the 1st section carefully

    • We recommend you show up 30-45 mins early (not just 15)

    • You MUST have a valid ID at the exam

    • Exams are non-refundable, even for no-shows

    • Your ID is the only thing you can have (no phone, paper, water, etc)

  • Ignore the 2nd section as it does not apply to PAHCOM exams

  • Review the 3rd section carefully

    • Three Business Days

      • Rescheduling is free when you do it at least three business days in advance

      • Without three business days notice, missing the exam is a no-show

      • No-shows will not be rescheduled

      • No-shows on gifts, grants, and scholarships will be forfeited

      • There are no refunds

Examroom.AI

  • Within the same PROV TEST CONFIRMATION email

  • Do your systems check at least 4 business days in advance

  • Nothing can be in your workspace (no books, papers, drinks/snacks, nothing)

  • Close all of your application windows except for your browser, camera, and mic (minimizing the window is not enough)

  • Have your valid photo ID

Final Tips from PAHCOM

  • You will need your Candidate ID number and the URL for the exam to begin with. It is okay to have a note on your desktop (computer or paper) and then once you get logged into Examroom.AI, you can delete or trash the Candidate ID.

  • Eat a decent meal the morning of the exam. A growling stomach can be a huge distraction during an important exam.

  • Be well hydrated in the days leading to your exam, but also mindful that there are no breaks during this exam unless there is an emergency*.

  • Relax and take deep breaths while you take the test. Think positive and pass!

*Candidates with medical diagnoses that require breaks should reach out to PAHCOM regarding options for in-person testing or other waiver opportunities. Do not put your remote proctor on the spot unless it is truly unavoidable.

If you have studied and scored 92% or better on all preparation quizzes, it’s time to get your certification.

Breathe, relax, quiet your mind, and pass that exam!
