Decertification

Credentialing with PAHCOM requires professionals to stay on top of changes within the industry and maintain continuous education and training. Currency status is demonstrated through either submitting a CEU log or retesting.

Decertification will result when certified professionals fail to meet required standards. Every opportunity is given to bring professionals on track. Maintaining our third party national accreditation requires excellence and discipline. Our physicians and our patients are worth it!

Why was I decertified and what can I do now?

  • Non-members

    • Recertification requires that you retest every year on or within 60 days prior to your original certification anniversary.

      • Once you retest, you will be recertified and your recertification date will be restarted due to the gap.

  • Physician/Admin Members

    • Recertification requires a minimum of 12 CEUs be submitted every 12 months.

      • If you earned your CEUs but neglected to submit your CEU log, you may be able to recertify. Contact us.

      • If you did not earn the required CEUs for recertification, missed the deadline by 30 days or less, and are willing to earn them now, contact us.

      • If you neglected to recertify more than 30 days go, you must retest in order to be certified again.

    • Continuous membership in PAHCOM is required for members utilizing recertification via CEUs vs. retesting annually.

      • Failure to maintain continuous membership will result in decertification. If your gap is less than 30 days, rejoin now!

      • Becoming a member again after a greater than 30 day gap does not reinstate credentials. Retesting is required.

      • Non-member certification status requires retesting, even if you used to be a member and tested previously.
