Why now?

  • Protecting your patients’ health information and your practice’s reputation from cyber threats is essential in today’s high-risk environment.

  • Helping practice managers update, increase, and validate their health IT knowledge has never been easier and less costly.

  • This free training and credentialing offer is made available through a U.S. Department of Labor grant for eligible participants. Seats/funds are limited and while we are seeing significant interest, many forms are submitted incomplete. Incomplete forms delay processing. Later applicants with completed forms move forward. We cannot guarantee approval.

Through our partnership with CommHIT, PAHCOM is able to provide HIT training to current and aspiring practice managers. CommHIT has secured funding for this critical training through a U.S. Department of Labor (USDOL) grant dedicated to expanding the technology workforce nationally.

Eligible candidates will take the online HITCM-PP training course then sit for the certification exam at NO cost to the candidate. When you pass the exam, you earn the HITCM-PP credential.

Register for funding | Closed

  • Complete the information form. Remember that the funding comes from The U.S. Department of Labor (USDOL). The government is known for long forms so just hang in there and get it done. Do not be discouraged!

  • Take advantage of the FREE education. Over $3 Billion of government funded education went unused last year due to incomplete forms*.

Enroll in training | Closed

  • A CommHIT associate will help you enroll in the online course.

  • Participants in this program do not pay for the training nor the certification exam. This is free to participants through the USDOL via CommHIT, TQA, and PAHCOM.

Complete the course | In progress

  • The course is online and you can choose which hours you spend in the course.

  • Participants are given a maximum of 45 days to complete the training course segment of this program.

  • You may complete the training course sooner. Your training schedule is managed by you.

  • Take your time and STUDY the material in the course. You must have a solid understanding of this information in order to pass the exam!

Pass the exam | In progress

  • The HITCM-PP is a professional credential (letters after your name) and the exam is very difficult for most people. Give yourself the best chance of passing by ensuring you are well prepared and have a solid understanding of the course material. Study hard for this exam if you want to be an HITCM-PP.

  • Once you complete the training, you will be eligible to sit for the HITCM-PP Exam. Reach out to Andy Post (andy.post@communityhealthit.org) to provide you with a CODE and direct link so you can schedule your certification exam at a time/date that works best for you.

  • Like the training, the exam is offered online and on your schedule. Participants are given a maximum of 90 days to sit for the exam. You are strongly encouraged to take the exam as soon after the training course as possible.

  • The exam employs artificial intelligence (AI) and human proctoring via webcam. No notes are allowed in the exam. Once you begin the exam, you will have 3 hours to complete it.

  • There are no 2nd chances or free retakes. Take advantage of the course and STUDY!

  • When you pass the exam, you earn a credential that can go after your name. It demonstrates your expertise in HIT specific to medical practices. Wouldn’t it be great to be Treena Smith, HITCM-PP or Donna Jones, HITCM-PP?

Receive your HITCM-PP professional credential | In progress

  • Allow five business days to receive your exam score.

  • A passing score will trigger a congratulations notice from PAHCOM welcoming you as our newest HITCM-PP.

  • That email will include a code for one free year of access to the HITCM-PP VIP area.

  • A certificate like the one shown here will be emailed to you with your name on it.

  • You are encouraged to print and display your certificate with pride!
