HCMT 2310 - Medical Office Management
Welcome to the PAHCOM Academic Credentialing Program. Your school has negotiated free full membership for you in the Professional Association of Health Care Office Management (PAHCOM). Your membership type is exactly the same level that industry physicians and medical managers enjoy. This program gives you an advantage when entering the workforce as you will already be familiar with navigating industry networks and finding accurate information when your medical practice needs it most.

About free membership: Even though your membership is free, you go through the process to join like the industry members do. Your free membership will expire one year after you complete the HCMT 2310 - Medical Office Management course at NSCC. Note that free membership is for actively enrolled students and graduates only. When your free period ends, you will be given the option to join PAHCOM, but you will NOT be automatically charged for anything.
Students will join one membership:
Physicians and administrative leadership (physician/admin)
Your discount code identifies you as an NSCC student and allows you to join for free. You MUST use this code to gain free membership.

You must have the Study Guide. Check with your course instructor if you don’t already have a copy.
The full title of the book is Health Care Management for Physician Practices and Ambulatory Health Service Organizations: Overview and Study Guide.

Engage with the industry! Even though you’re not in the workforce yet, you are encouraged to consider how you might utilize industry networks and services to your advantage once you graduate.

The Certification Exam - Special for NSCC Students
Through the agreement between NSCC and PAHCOM, the “2 years of related experience” prerequisite to take the CMM exam is waived. Students will receive a member discount on the cost of the exam unless otherwise directed by NSCC Faculty.
