HHS 405(d) provides significant free resources and guidance designed to help you protect your business and your patients
The 405(d) Program and Task Group is a collaborative effort between industry and the federal government, which aims to raise awareness, provide vetted cybersecurity practices, and move organizations towards consistency in mitigating the current most pertinent cybersecurity threats to the healthcare sector.
Workgroup members and Ambassadors continue to create FREE resources and many of them are directed at solo provider and small group physician practices. PAHCOM is engaged at multiple levels to ensure your voices are heard and resources are consumable and actionable for non-technology practice management and staff. In some cases, penalties are waived or minimized for practices that become targets and can demonstrate that they followed 405(d) best practices. It is not likely that all cyber-threats will ever be eliminated, but you can manage your risk by following basic cyber hygiene.
